ABOUT PCHOA / Background and Original Mission
- PCHOA and this website www.peraltacanyonhoa.com is a private & independent Peralta Canyon homeowner's group of 267 effectively-engaged members created in 2022 to push back on the Developer HOA Board after they drained the HOA reserve to repaint defects and subsequently raised HOA fees 3 times!
- The Developer Board transistioned control of the HOA Board to the Homeowners on Apr 3, 2024 when the last of 750 homes was sold. The 1st homeowner HOA Board was elected at that time.
- Prior to the election of the 1st homeowner BOARD, PCHOA facilitated pre-election candidate workshops and training for interested candidates, something the Develop Board or Developer-centric Community Association Management would not do . As a result, 4 of the 5 elected Board Members (out of 19 candidates applying which is unheard of) were PCHOA members.
PCHOA NEW MISSION / Competent HOA Board Members of Integrity
- Now that Peralta Canyon's HOA Board is homeowner led, PCHOA's new mission serves to assist the community with electing COMPETENT Board Members of INTEGRITY that work as a TEAM on a transparent plan for the benefit of the community using data and facts not subjective opinions or back-door side deals.
- PCHOA provides an independent forum for effectively-engaged Peralta Canyon homeowners who wish to communicate and interact CONSTRUCTIVELY, securely and freely outside of the control or bias of the official community association Board of Directors or Community Association Management company (AAM).
- PCHOA DOES NOT USE NOR RECOMMENDS USING SOCIAL MEDIA FOR ANY HOA RELATED DISCUSSIONS. They are public, non-business, insecure platforms (HOA's are a private corporation) that only promote "keyboard warriors", negative comments and opinions that do not nothing to advance progress or add value.
